Sum... Sum... Summer Time

And the summer fun begins!

We've had lots of fun play dates and activities already this summer, including this one at the tire playground...

We visited Jocelyn's soon-to-be Elementary School, on a rainy day.

Had some fun playing ball and Kindle games with Daddy.

Jocelyn wants to learn to do some cross stitching.

And today we went strawberry picking!

I think it's going to be a very busy, and VERY fun Sum...  Sum... Summertime!

Ballet Recital

Wow!  There has been just one big event after another in our lives lately!

Last weekend was Jocelyn's ballet recital!  She has been practicing since January and performed a tap routine and a ballet routine with seven other little ones.  It was so adorable!!

I'm so proud of everything that Jocelyn has done in the last few weeks.  She has had to memorize songs, routines, and dance steps.  It's a lot of pressure for a 5 year old, but she has done beautifully on all accounts.

Jocelyn has done ballet for the last year and a half.  I'm letting her take a break for the summer and then she can decide in the fall if she wants to continue.  I have a feeling Kindergarten will change a lot in her life, so we'll see.   It will be up to her, but I would say it has been really good for her balance and coordination and self esteem.  She was really excited to be on stage!
And for at least the 1000th time, I am so proud of my girl!!
